1. Who we are

Crystal River Designs ("we", "us") is a web design studio at 3360 Alice St, Houston, TX 77021, USA. This policy explains what personal information we collect through crystalriverdesigns.com, why, and what choices you have. You can contact us at support@crystalriverdesigns.com or (682) 242-3742.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use the "Start a project" form, the free site review form or checkout, we collect your name, email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number, company, website address, and message. At checkout we also collect your billing address (street, city, state, ZIP code) and project kickoff preferences.
Payment information. The checkout on this site is currently a demonstration. Card fields are checked in your browser only. Card details are not sent to us, stored, or logged.
Information from your device. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referral source. See our Cookie Policy.
Information stored in your browser. Your cart, your cookie choice and your most recent order summary are saved in your browser's local or session storage so the site works. They stay on your device.

3. How forms and orders reach us

This site has no server that receives your messages. When you submit a form or place an order, your browser opens your email app with a message addressed to support@crystalriverdesigns.com, filled with the details you entered. The message is sent only when you press send in your email app. It then travels through your email provider and ours, which handle it under their own privacy policies. If we later switch on a form service, we will update this policy.

4. How we use information

To reply to your enquiries and review requests.
To prepare, confirm, invoice and deliver the projects you order.
To keep records of our business, including tax and accounting.
To understand how the site is used, and to improve it, only if you consent to analytics.
To protect the site from misuse and to meet legal obligations.

We handle your information to answer your requests, to perform a contract you ask us to enter, to meet our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running a secure business. We use analytics only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:

Service providers that help us run the business: our email provider, hosting provider, accounting and invoicing tools, and Google (Google Analytics 4, only with your consent).
Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, when needed.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

When we use a provider, we give it only what it needs to do its job.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for up to 3 years after our last contact. We keep order, invoice and payment records for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose you've consented to. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and we honor the same requests from anyone in the United States. Email support@crystalriverdesigns.com. We'll reply within 45 days, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and you can also contact the Texas Attorney General.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS across the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

11. International transfers

We are based in the United States. Some of our providers, including Google, may process data in other countries. We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

12. Links to other sites

Our site may link to other sites, such as Google Maps. We're not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change affects your consent, we'll ask you again.
